The Lorax

Did any of you go to see The Lorax this weekend with your kiddos? Since the Hub was working friday evening I took the kiddos, and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I liked that it was really centered on a story being told and taught a lesson, and I love the quote at the end...

Chilly Saturday morning at the Zoo

Saturday the kiddos and I met up with grandparents at the zoo, I love the zoo :) One of the good things that comes out of being the child of divorced thrice parents, my kids are blessed with a multitude of grandparents, whether biological or not, it doesn't matter, only more people to give them love, is how I see it :) Anyways, it was rather chilly and overcast, but it still made for a nice morning at the zoo. We were the first one's in and all the animals were anxious to be fed, and were up and running around.
This little llama ran right up to greet us....and nibble up the kiddos food

The bird house, so much fun, these birds fly right down to you

The peacock, always trying to get a good shot of one of these guys

This little baby zebra was so cute! I didn't get a shot, but they had a two year old little hippo to, and couple of week old baby gorilla, so adorable!

Chasing the peacock again ;)

Christmas in Montana

One of my all-time favorite places is Montana. When we were kids, my dad moved to and bought a house in Bozeman. While he only ended up living there for a few years, my Grandfather has kept the house, and it is such a beautiful place with so many wonderful memories. We used to go back-packing in  the summers, and make toboggan runs in the backyard in the fresh powder and  go skiing in the winters at Bridger Bowl. Though Brett and I haven't been in almost 8 years, I can't wait to make another trip out there. It truly is "God's County." Such untouched beauty, and amazing landscapes!

The house sits on the side of a mountain, leading back to a Highlight National Park, such a gorgeous place to visit!

Look at all the snow!!! ♥♥♥ Definately won't be seeing any of that in Florida!

Can't wait to take the kids and teach them how to ski :)

Love me some skiing in fresh powder!

Sorry for the grainy pictures, it's amazing how we survived before digital photos :)

We look so young!

Brett's very first run! We quickly advanced him and took him on Black diamonds by the second day, he was a very good sport ♥

Christmas Break DIY List

Today is the first day of my two week vacation (insert yippees, huge grin, and cartwheels). It has been a long time since I've had a straight two weeks, and I am super excited. I've been pinning all sorts of fun things I want to try and make on my Pinterest boards, and here's a few things I'm going to try and accomplish over my vaca.

Linen Wreath from Beautiful Nest
Painted Wine Bottles for the Mantle Pinterest
Hand Print Canvases for the Playroom from Chic Cheap Nursery
Kids Fabric Bookshelves for the Playroom like these at Penny Carnival
Monogrammed Ornaments for the Tree from The Creativity Exchange
Christmas Cranberry Mojitos from We're not Martha

I think I'll start on the Cranberry Mojitos first, that way I'll have something yummy throughout the duration of the rest, lol ;)

Wish me luck!

It's gonna be a a Rah-Rah weekend

Deja Vu....we're off to another cheerleading competition....Actually at this moment, we are surprising the kiddos with a day at Disneyworld. Since we had to drive all the way to Kissimmee for Baylor's cheer competition tomorrow, we figured we'd drive down Thursday night, and give them an awesome surprise today. Can't wait to show you pics. Here's some pics from our cheer competition two weeks ago...Go Mariners :)

With Fall Comes the Fair

We had a very busy, and only slightly productive weekend in our household. Saturday we started with Grier's soccer games, the Bullsharks one, with Grier scoring 2 of the 4 winning goals (proud mommy). Then it was off to the fair. I'm so glad it only comes once a year, all the delicious food that's so horrible for you, the scary rides my son and husband go on (I have to turn around, I get to antsy if I watch), and then there is the small fortune you spend trying to win your kids all the prizes.

That's Grier on the left and me on the right, we kept falling all over the place, but we were having a ball, he-he, cheesy pun:)

Ehh! I couldn't even watch this one, the went all the way upside down

Baylor loves the ponies ♥

The loot, lol :) Grier wanted all of the angry birds, and we spent every last dollar we had brought, but we managed to get them all.
