Gobble till you wobble!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Brett Parents and my mom and Grandma. The menu was both traditional and quirky, I made a Turkey (delish!), Ham, Potatoes, steamed Asparagus (Yummm!!!), Rolls, Banana pudding, pumpkin pie, and Brett's mom brought her fabulous dressing and a sweet potato dish, and his dad a crawfish corn chowder, and my mom brought a Pumpkin cheesecake. We got to use our dining room, and everything was just perfect ♥

Tre Fratellis

I am not a fish eater. I love shrimp, lobster, crawfish, just no fish. However.... a few years ago we were eating at Tre Fratelli's, a quaint little hole-in-the wall restaurant, charming downtown Pensacola along with several other great spots like Hub Stacey's and Darma Blues, and the hubby ordered this fish pasta, which came out smelling and looking amazing! Against my norm, I gave in and tried a bite....DELICIOUS! I've since been hooked, this Grouper is just divine, and it's the only thing I ever order, not to mention the only place I'll order fish at.

Charming old Downtown Pensacola building...perfect for sitting outside on a lovely day!

MMmmmmm, fresh pan-seared Grouper on a bed of Penne Pasta, with delicious herb and citrus flavor.....wish I had some now!

And being an Italian Restaurant, the kiddos always veg out on delectable pizza :)

Dining Under New Light

As I've mentioned before, I'm completely in love with finally having a real dining room, but after finishing building, I was not in love with the light they installed in it. The hubby and me had scoped out a few things we liked, but hadn't decided on anything. Then this past Saturday, while he was working, he works for a home improvement company (both a blessing and a curse), he called to tell me one of the lights was being discontinued, and was marked down from $239 to $50! I told him, that made it my favorite, and to bring it home....the bigger surprise, when the lighting manager rang it up, he marked it down even further, only $10 - can you believe??

Of course I was up at like 7 the next morning, anxiously trying to get him out of bed so we could put up the new light.

The Old.....

....and twenty minutes later (we are getting to be quite the lighting change-out experts :) ......
The New, such an improvement!

West Coast Family

Last weekend, my dad flew in from Riverside, California to visit. Our visits are far and few between, because of the distance, so we really enjoyed a laid back weekend, taking in sun by the pool, yummy eats at Tre Fratelli's and brunch at Jaco's. creating a new bed for our gardenia bushes, celebrating the kiddos birthday's early with Pappus, and just catching up.
Hugs for Pappus :)

A little fun in the sun, the water was perfect!

Delicious crab cake Eggs Benedict, yummy!!

A nice family visit ♥
