Game Time Grub

I don't know about y'all, but down here in the south, football is our thing, and Super Bowl is the best! Football, friends and good food, what more could you ask for? I've been waiting for a football party to try out some yummy appetizers from my Yum-Yum Gimme Some board on Pinterest. Here's what I've narrowed id down to...

Baked Brie..this looks soooo easy!

All these items sound delish, so hard to decide which ones to make. Our group of friends always tends to WAYYY over prepare with too much food, what can I say, we like good food! The treadmill will definitely be calling my name after Sunday ;)

Weekend Recap

We had a great little bit of time off, that lasted all the way through yesterday, that was jam packed with celebrating the Fourth, my 10 year high school reunion, remembering my grandmother with all the family with a memorial, charter boat offshore fishing, eating and lots more :) During that time we had family in from Europe, Virginia, New Orleans, North Carolina, all over the place. I'll post pictures over the next few days of our fishing trip, family fun, and a very tasty dessert recipe I tried out.

Wednesday we celebrated the fourth with my mom, one of our kiddos previous teachers, some friends and their adorable baby.
Yes, our goofy Old Navy Shirts, I do them every year, but still ♥ them :)

Yummy goodies to nibble on, found the bell pepper dip holder idea on Pinterest, where else ;)

Kabobs ready for the grill....

....and the grill master in action!

Yes, that is my husband doing a toe touch over a firework....but you have to admit, it's a pretty good toe touch, lol

Gobble till you wobble!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Brett Parents and my mom and Grandma. The menu was both traditional and quirky, I made a Turkey (delish!), Ham, Potatoes, steamed Asparagus (Yummm!!!), Rolls, Banana pudding, pumpkin pie, and Brett's mom brought her fabulous dressing and a sweet potato dish, and his dad a crawfish corn chowder, and my mom brought a Pumpkin cheesecake. We got to use our dining room, and everything was just perfect ♥

Tre Fratellis

I am not a fish eater. I love shrimp, lobster, crawfish, just no fish. However.... a few years ago we were eating at Tre Fratelli's, a quaint little hole-in-the wall restaurant, charming downtown Pensacola along with several other great spots like Hub Stacey's and Darma Blues, and the hubby ordered this fish pasta, which came out smelling and looking amazing! Against my norm, I gave in and tried a bite....DELICIOUS! I've since been hooked, this Grouper is just divine, and it's the only thing I ever order, not to mention the only place I'll order fish at.

Charming old Downtown Pensacola building...perfect for sitting outside on a lovely day!

MMmmmmm, fresh pan-seared Grouper on a bed of Penne Pasta, with delicious herb and citrus flavor.....wish I had some now!

And being an Italian Restaurant, the kiddos always veg out on delectable pizza :)

Simple Chicken Florentine

I'm a master of quick and easy meals. With a variable of activities....football, soccer, cheer leading,  gymnastics....you name it, we're busy doing it....I am all about finding and trying out simple meals for the weekdays. While I was picking up some sour cream for Tacos, I saw these Philadelphia Cooking Creme sauces that I'd seen advertised on TV. I decided to try out the Savory Garlic one, and it turned out pretty tasty.

What you need:

-Boneless Chicken Breast - I used four
-Philadelphia Savory Garlic Cooking Creme
-Red Peppers - omitted due to popular request :)
-Bowtie Pasta - improvised with Pasta Twists
-Baby Spinach

Cut chicken into bite size pieces and cook (along with red peppers if you choose to use),
at the same time cook your pasta

Add fresh spinach, and cook until wilted,
stir in sauce and add hot pasta

Yum! And this only took about fifteen minutes.
Had to throw in a pic with my Halloween dishtowel :)

Birthday Bonanza

Somehow, it completely slipped past me to do a post on the kids Luau Birthday Bash we did this year. Baylor's birthday is at the beginning of September, and Grier's at the end, so usually its always too cold to do a pool party for Grier, this year we did a dual party mid-September, and it turned out great!

The cakes turned out awesome, we used The Cake Shop, and I loved what they did.

Grier and his buddy, these blow ups were a hit, we had three total, so kids were just going wild!

High school friends, Jen and John, with their cutie, Peyton, and #2 on the way :)

Baylor with her cousin and bestie :)

Love these two! ♥
