My 100th Post!!

Yippee, I did it, 100 entire posts!!! :) silly, maybe, but that's alot of work for this busy lady, so I'm proud of myself ;) Today I just wanted to share some pics of the front yard, we've been doing lots of spring spruce ups, and, after waiting over a year, we've finally got our fence!! This may seem like a small thing, but we've got 3/4 of an acre, that thing was expensive!

My poor topiarys may have bit the dust, I'm going to give them another week or two, this will be the second set that has died :( But my hydrangeas are looking awesome...for now, lol 

There's the lovely fence!! 

And the lovely stone columns the hubby and I built, yes, we did these ourselves, I am very proud :) 

And our massive backyard... so much room :) all the woods behind us are part of a 700 acre nature conservatory

Looking Back: Gatlinburg

Okay, so this trip wasn't exotic, but there is nothing like the beautiful leaves in the fall in Tennessee. I spent many summers at camp in Monterrey, TN, and have nothing but fond memories of the beautiful outdoors this state offers :)

Christmas in Montana

One of my all-time favorite places is Montana. When we were kids, my dad moved to and bought a house in Bozeman. While he only ended up living there for a few years, my Grandfather has kept the house, and it is such a beautiful place with so many wonderful memories. We used to go back-packing in  the summers, and make toboggan runs in the backyard in the fresh powder and  go skiing in the winters at Bridger Bowl. Though Brett and I haven't been in almost 8 years, I can't wait to make another trip out there. It truly is "God's County." Such untouched beauty, and amazing landscapes!

The house sits on the side of a mountain, leading back to a Highlight National Park, such a gorgeous place to visit!

Look at all the snow!!! ♥♥♥ Definately won't be seeing any of that in Florida!

Can't wait to take the kids and teach them how to ski :)

Turkey Day outfits from Etsy

I know my kiddos are definitely about past the age of matching outfits, but I can't help it, they look so darn cute when they are coordinated. Baylor's outfit was easy, I Love the fun print and the pink pop, but this year I had to look a little harder to find something not too "kiddish" for Grier, and since he hates being dressed-up, this tee with a tie was perfect!

Home Tour: Back Porch

Welcome to our back porch, probably one of my favorite places in our home. One of the things we really wanted on our new home is a covered porch, and I'm so glad we stuck to that. This is a great area to sit and watch the kids play, or, my favorite, watch the sun set behind the trees that are part of a nature conservatory behind our house. SInce we haven't put a fence up around the yard yet, we have a small part of the porch we put up a gate for the dogs, and they like to sit outside and watch all the birds and squirrels.



Horsing Around

I started riding before I can even remember, and was quite serious in high school, concentrating on three day eventing, and jumping anything and everything, the bigger the better :) (it's amazing how much braver you are when you're younger), And even though I've been out of it since I had kiddos, I still have that equestrian part of me that is drawn to anything having to do with horses. My mother is currently exploring around the USA, the Eastern coast at the moment, having just retired after 30 years in the Navy, so all her mail is coming to our house, and I perused through her Dover catalog and found all sorts of goodies I loved.

 I Got to see her work in the Chicago Field Museum back in February, and was blown away!
