I'm sure lots of people know this trick, but I'd forgotten about it until I needed some silver polish and didn't have any.....that's where good ole Crest stepped in. I picked up these cute silver plated salt and pepper shakers from an antique store a couple of weeks ago, and with a little dab of toothpaste, an old wash cloth and a couple minutes of rubbing and then rinsing off, voila, shiny, pretty silver shakers. The hubby aid he liked the patina better, I wasn't digging it. I think I'm going to try my metal stamping kit on these and monogram them, hmmmm :)
